BPM started in October 2020 during lockdown on ZOOM. An online community was born where we entertained 100s of people every weekend during very difficult COVID times. BPM has continued to bring the flavor of "Big People Music" into your homes every Friday and Sunday evening bringing people together and real friendships for life being formed. BPM provides a social development space for the community to gather and connect. Our weekly zoom events bring together people from the comfort of their home, as well as our in person events providing a chance to meet new people.
BPM reconnects the best generation from home. We gather at least twice a week to connect and celebrates with the community utilising music across the zoom platform together with in-person social gatherings. The overall aim is to develop, stimulate, encourage and enhance the well-being of the community, building good relationships whilst breaking the mould of isolation.
Big People Music is a Community of people from all walks of life, ages, races, cultures and areas of the world. Our listeners hail from all over the Uk, USA, South America and the Carribbean.We treat each other like family, so be prepared to be teased, loved and supported. I live Alone after a very busy & not always easy life. I am now in my 80s.. I have a very large family but alas they are scattered all over the UK & overseas. So I do I am housebound, not in good health & I often feel lonely & isolated. Music is my one constant in my life. A very good friend sent me the Link for BPM December 2023. It was a wonderful gift. Greetings wow where do I start, first and foremost thank you Harvey.BPM what it means to me didn't know of zoom before now I was sent a text to go on zoom one night during the covid period went on ot was ok during that zoom message was sent to me about another zoom that was on I joined and boy wasn't the music sweet it went on for hours I danced and dance till it done, this went on for a long while every weekend I looked forward to it if I remember rightly we done week days also.
