I’m so glad my best friend sent me the link last week! We joined in with the shows, and I instantly loved the interaction and the vibes. Since then, I’ve attended two more sessions, and I’m really looking forward to future shows. It’s been such a great experience!

Big People Music πŸŽΆπŸŽΆπŸŽΆπŸŽ‰πŸ₯³πŸͺ‡ Oh my days, what can I say about this new venture in my life. Plenty as since I have joined BPM my daily stress has been reduced. I look forward to the show with excitement like a young child waiting outside a sweet shop. The sweet melodic tunes that they play takes away dem stress clouds. Last session what a slam jam. Beres Hammond versus Dennis Brown. Me FiFi queen bee 🐝 was Dennis Brown all the way. Man I danced soo much, Pinky and Perky me legs exercised and increased their steps. The old tunes took me back to sweet memories of my childhood. Parties my late father used to have at our home. A child me Fifi I would stand outside the living room door and watch the adults dancingπŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸŽ‰πŸͺ‡. But now I am grown, I can appreciate the old tunes, as they will never die, holding a place in my heart reminding me of my father and the memories. Big up BPM They are an uplift that gives me spiritual healing helping me to grieve and remember the times with my late father. Respect and big up yourself BPM Keep up the good work. Fifi queen bee 🐝 that's me.

Being a part of this community has been truly - life changing for me. connecting with others has always been difficult especially while dealing with depression and Tourette syndrome but this group has given me something positive to look forward to. The music the conversations, and the friendships we're building here bring so much joy. it's a space where we uplift each other, share good vibes, and remind one another that we're not alone. Grateful for every call, every song and every connection made.

I tuned in on a Friday night from the very beginning I was made to feel so welcome by everyone from all walks of life from the UK as well as international brought together by our common love of music on Zoom Every Friday & Sunday night. I take over 20 tablets per day keeping me alive but none of the medication can make me feel alive like the BPM Shows and the Comradeship shown in the live chat. It’s my best Medicine & Therapy absolutely Priceless. BPM & its Community has changed my life in the past 6 months. Now I look forward to the Friday Sunday night sessions. The anticipation keeps me going for the week along the recordings we get via WhatsApp the day after the sessions. Thank You DJ Harvey also all the other DJs who entertain us with various music genres. It is very much therapeutic for my soul. Also the feeling of welcoming & comradeship from the BPM community is so heartwarming & comforting. I look forward to the Zoom sessions where I no longer feel alone & isolated. But chat with like minded people in the live chat. I feel very much part of the sessions. The community is like a huge family gathering. Along with the healing medication of Music. Much more powerful than anything Dr can provide. Memories of past happy times of yesteryear.

I heard DJ Harvey on another COVID, zoom platform promoting a children's book that he'd written. At the end of his presentation, he mentioned his zoom music platform that he had started. I quickly scribbled down the details and signed in on a Saturday evening. I can't remember which month or even which year. I do however remember DJ Harvey in his white shirt and bow tie, looking very suave. I've been hooked ever since. There was nowhere to go and not much else to do and so Saturday night on the BPM was the night. I'm one of the behind the camera listeners but the music is for all to listen to in my home. The BPM has been a regular ever since and it filled and is still filling the social void that went, when covid arrived. The BPM party on 2nd June 2024 was absolutely FABULOUS. It was so great to meet all the familiar faces and names of the BPM family. Thank you DJH for starting the BPM family and long may it continue. As Bob Marley said "One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain". That's the BPM platform.

I want to say a very special thank you to DJ Harvey and all the other DJs on the platform. And the members for creating a wonderful space for us all on a Friday and a Sunday to spend some quality time together listening to some sweet, sweet music of all genres. We have also had various serious discussions on different topics. We discussed the black school girl who was attacked outside her school by another pupil. There were lots of bystanders, including teachers, apparently not doing anything to assist. We also discussed Sickle Cell Anaemia. We spoke with various experts in the community and sufferers. To get a better understanding. We also discussed relationships between the black man and the black women, or lack of it. We covered all the reasons why it doesn't always work!! Diane Abbott was another one of our topics for discussion. It was felt that she had been treated really badly by the leader of the party. Rallies had been organised to show our support for her. Recently, we had a meet-up at the South Bank about 30 of us. We got to know each other a bit better and enjoyed the good weather and food outside. I've been a part of the BPM Community for the last three years and couldn't imagine not listening to it!! Best of luck for the next four years!

For those of us who enjoy a night out listening to good music and socialising, know the tremendous loss we felt on the onset of Covid. No more getting dressed and going out with my husband and siblings, mainly my sisters who went everywhere together. One day, my son came in, excited about a platform starting, playing Big People's Music, which he shared on our family group. We all waited in anticipation wondering how it would work, sitting at home watching ourselves on screen. Then DJ Harvey came on and what an amazing evening it was. I'm sure myself and one sister, Verna, danced most of the night. This this became our regular Saturday night fix along with many others. To us it was our night out and we would dress for the occasion, along with the drinks and some even had flashing light. We soon began to gel and getting to know one another, some of us becoming good friends over time. During this time many people struggled, experienced loneliness and depression but BPM helped by refreshing the soul with beautiful music, bringing joy and laughter, encouragement and motivation. The friendships made have evolved over time from acquaintances to true friendships to becoming a family. BPM has become the glue that binds us together, playing a significant role in our lives and provides so much more than simply music.

I am new to The BPM family as I only started listening in February after Peetah Morgan (Morgan Heritage) died and I heard that a tribute was scheduled on BPM on zoom. I decided I have to be part of this and I was not disappointed, I got in touch with Dj Harvey to thank him and convey my congratulations. I am an international music lover and has been a constant Spotify customer since 2009 after the death of my son. This has been my pacifier so as you can imagine my playlists are HUGE. I am into all genres and being a senior citizen with time to explore I consider myself international where music is considered. Whether it's Calypso, reggae, soul, country, rhythm and blues, ampiano, African. Whatever the music as long as there's a rhythm I appreciate it. I have been a constant listener since then and have met some of the BPM family to hear that they have been in existence for the past 31/2 yrs. I have introduced friends to listen and possibly visit one of the BPM sessions. I have nothing but praises for DJ Harvey and the BPM family. I will definitely be a faithful listener and participant, they play very good music and the mix of different genres is exceptional. Keep up the good work

During Lock down I was on every Zoom known to man ..in the UK and abroad BPM has been consistent when all others faded away. Thank you DJH for caring about us as individuals and not just numbers for zoom. Thank you for showcasing my cover version of Natural Woman and for hosting my Birthday in February...truly appreciated. I pray that BPM will go from strength to strength and continue to bring people together πŸ™πŸ½β€οΈ Evereen ❀: Thank you for not giving up on usπŸ™πŸ½

Seymour Merchant

My name is Seymour Merchant.Nickname C-M00R..DJ Harvey's cousin Sue is my late brother's wife who introduced me to this platform three years ago in the midst of COVID 19...At the time we were All hiding away in our own homes too afraid of the virus. Meeting so many like minded folks who loved music was a tonic to us All as we got to chat with and virtually dance with people from all over this country and abroad..It certainly brightened up our lives through this depressing period. For this I give DJ Harvey Full credit as he took sole charge of running every aspect of the Zoom meetings with all the problems inherent in a new platform and keeping so many diverse members happy. This gave a very safe and happy space for mostly Windrush first or second generation music lovers to enjoy themselves as going out to parties or clubs was no longer viable. It was so successful it is still going even after COVID is finished.

ICEBABY

BPM is a wicked platform for music and Big people it gives me a feeling like I am going out like I use to before covid struck but I've been on BMP during covid . Meeting everyone at the BPM party was so surreal and everyone was so friendly can't wait for the next one . Thank you BPM for making my Friday and Sundays nights worth looking forward to it every weekend. Big up DJ Harvey for putting all the hard work and all the DJS old or new for the music. Signing of ICEBABY xx

Greetings everyone, I only found out about BPM two weeks ago when my friend sent me the link to go on zoom and listen to the clash between D Brown and B Hammond (16-3-2025 ). I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially interacting with the DJs and the world. By 22.00 I was feeling tired but there was no way I was going to leave it and go to sleep. It was Amazing. Bring on the Friday night. Bless up.

Sonia

It's wonderful to find a zoom platform dedicated to playing authenticated music through the decades - still sounding fresh!! Keep playing good music we love to hear...
